Our Story
In 2011, Evan made the decision to join the U.S. Air Force. After basic training, we were married and started our military adventures together. In our first year married, we ended up halfway around the world from each other (Evan in South Korea, and Karen back home in Virginia finishing school). After a year apart, we were stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland where we were blessed to find an old farmhouse on 35 acres to rent. This is where our farm dreams were born.
Evan had always dreamed of farming, and this old house in rural Southern Maryland had Karen onboard. In 2015, when our time with the Air Force was coming to an end, we decided that we wanted to settle somewhere near family where we could grow our dream of owning a farm and raising food responsibly for our family and our community. That is what brought us to Madison, VA.
We currently raise cattle, sheep, and pigs. We are proud to have served our country in the Air Force, and to continue to serve our community by providing a sustainable and responsible source of food for families in our area. We strive to create a sustainable farm business where we can raise all our animals humanely and with the care they deserve.
We want our customers to be part of our family and provide them with food they can trust in to serve to their families. We look forward to what adventures God has planned for us while we continue our of dream supplying our family and community with healthy food.
